We are commanded in Ephesians 6 to pray in the Spirit at every occasion. Praying in the Spirit is praying in partnership with the Holy Spirit through the power of the Holy Spirit. God doesn’t just hear your prayers, he helps you pray! The Holy Spirit even prays for us—“And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Romans 8:27.
